³ Can its wood be used to make something useful? Can people make a peg from it to hang things on? ⁴ No, it is fed into the fire for fuel. The fire devours both ends of it, and its middle is burned up. Is it useful for any purpose then? ⁵ Since it could not be used for any purpose when it was undamaged, how much less can it be used to make anything useful after the fire has devoured it and it has been burned!
